ePortfelj.com and VIPnet – stocks and funds in MMS

Web application ePortfelj.com and Croatian Telecom provider VIPnet started new Vip.Infoblic MMS categories. Categories „Stocks“ and „Funds“ enable to VIPnet users information about stocks from Zagreb Stock Exchange and information about share prices of Croatian investment funds.

„Stocks“ category delivers prices of stocks included in Croatian Stock index CROBEX at the end of trading day and category „Funds“ delivers prices of shares of 25 most popular investment funds by the users of ePortfelj.com site.

Interesting about new services is appliance of MMS message format. Users are used that via MMS message multimedia information is usually sent but not everyone knows that MMS actually enables thousand text characters and that is quite enough for sending prices of all CROBEX's stocks and a lot of funds. With this service ePortfelj and VIP showed how MMS messages can be used not only for image transfer but also for a big amount of textual data that otherwise wouldn't be to transfer in a SMS message.
