Where were we? What we were doing?
April 2009. – Microsoft Windays conference, Opatija, Croatia
On 29th of April , our developer Miroslav Novak and director Marko Velic held a presentation “Office in 3D – WPF + XAML + XPS”. We presented advanced features of Winfdows Presentation Foundation technology and XPS format. Our own 3D engine was demonstrated which enables simple transformation of any 2D object to 3D model. We demonstrated a software component that enables rotating, scaling and moving of 3D objects and rotations of camera in 3D environment. Any 3D object can be inserted in a virtual 3D space if in XAML format.
Ožujak 2009. – sajam CeBIT, Hannover, Njemačka
This is a third year that our team is presenting innovations on the biggest ICT fair – CeBIT and second year in a row that we are presenting as a company. Initium Futuri was presenting together with seven other companies from Croatia in cooperation with Croatian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency and The Central State Administrative Office for e-Croatia.
November 2008. – Enerpreneurship forum, Varazdin, Croatia
On Faculty of organisation and informatics and in Microsoft Innovation Centre in Varazdin, Entrepreneurship forum organized by Microsoft was held. Participants were from Microsoft, Faculty of organisation and informatics, city of Varazdin and our company. Speakers were Jeremy Gittins, leader of Microsoft’s Unlimited Potential initiative for middle and east Europe, Cliff Reeves, director of Microsoft’s Emerging Business team, Venessa Schütz, director of Microsoft Croatia, Ivan Cehok city major of Varazdin and others.

June 2008. – Microsoft SME day, Brussels, Belgium
On 12th June Microsoft held the SME day together with European Investor Summit. The event was attended by more than 170 VC's and Angel investors. Initium Futuri was presented as a success story company founded by Microsoft's Imagine Cup competition finalists. In Royal Museum of Art and History we participated in a panel discussion „Realizing the potential from ideas to innovation- Entrepreneurship Forum“. The practical focus of this session was intended to inspire an audience of selected students who are on the cusp of deciding if starting a business is the right career decision for them through debate with engaged stakeholders. The invited panellists have demonstrated the qualities, challenges and success factors that pave the way from student to start up.
May 2008. – Web.Start conference, Zagreb Video lecture
On 8th and 9th of May second Web.Start conference was held. Conference was divided i two days – Tech.Day and Biz.Day and expert speakers spoke on the two aspects of web entrepreneurship. The creative one (project development, content) and the financial one (financing, investment, marketing). Initium Futuri's director Marko Velic introduced our ePortfelj project.
April 2008. – Windays conference, Opatija

On the 8th Windays conference Miroslav Novak and Marko Velic demonstrated our project Vergilius – wireless RFID based navigation system for blind. On the first day of cinference during keynote our company was presented as a succesfull example of innovations in practice. Beside us speakers at the forum were Davor Majetic (director, Microsoft Croatia), Goran Radman (chairman, Microsoft South-East Europe), Ivica Mudrinic (board director, T-Croatian Telecom), Nenad Bakic (director, Selectio group), Zlatko Matesa (president of Croatian Olimpic board), Igor lucic (state secretary, central goverment office for e-Croatia), Vedran mornar (dean, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Zagreb), Ivan Cehok (Varazdin City's major) and Nenad Prelog (consultant at analytics office of Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs an European Integration and member of Global alliance for ICT and Development)
March 2008. – CeBIT, Hannover, Germany
On this year's CeBIT our company presented two of our projects. Vergilius – wireless RFID based navigation system for blinds and Eduforia – 3D software for team work and distance learning. Projects were presented during the presentation of Croatian ICT companies which together presented their work under the motto „Connect to Croatia, let's do IT together“. This is not our first appearance on CeBIT as we have last year presented our SmartECG project as student of Faculty of Organisation and Informatics.
